MWC Garlic Mustard Pull

  • Devil's Lake State Park S5975 Park Road Baraboo, WI, 53913 United States (map)

Madison Woman Climbers are hosting the third annual garlic mustard pull at Devil's Lake State Park in collaboration with the DNR. They will be identifying and removing garlic mustard, an invasive plant species, from areas around Devil's Lake. This event is open to partners, friends, and family members of the MWC, but please register them so they can have an accurate headcount!

We're thrilled to announce that we can offer free lunches to all attendees (including both MWC-ers and additional attendees) at the event, thanks to a grant through our JEDI program. The delicious lunches will be sourced from Willy Street Co-op.

For those interested, a group will stay at Devil's Lake after lunch to do some bouldering. If you'd like to join, bring your climbing shoes, chalk, and crash pads if you have any!

Who is the MWC?

Madison Women Climbers is an informal organization of women of all climbing abilities, levels of experience, and interests in climbing (rock, gym, bouldering, trad, etc). They welcome women (cis and transgender) as well as non-binary and gender non-conforming folks who feel comfortable in spaces that center around the experiences of women. MWC was organized by women to get more women involved in climbing and to provide a forum for women of all ages to continue to climb, train, and, of course, have fun together. MWC is not a certified or insured instructional service. They do, however, draw on each other's skills, and encourage the mentoring of less experienced climbers. MWC is a great place to meet active women and have fun climbing!
